ELA standards are standards set by the state for English language arts & literacy in history/social studies, science, and technical subject. There are tons and tons of different standards set under many different subject areas but one that particularly stood out to me was to use a smartboard in your classroom to teach your lesson. I do pretty well with technology and have used smartboards since my middle school years, so I feel this gives me enough experience to not be nervous to use them in my classroom. CPALMS is a resource for educators to use specifically for those in Florida laying out Florida standards, lesson plans, videos, games, curriculum planning tool, and more. I would most definitely use the tool kits with the standards laid out for the teacher this would help ensure that I meet all standards necessary to teach my little ones exactly what they need to learn within that year to go on to higher grade levels and learn more.
